because i'm proud of him.

you know that boy that i'm always talking about? yah that one.

yes. the one that stole my heart.

it's okay. i said he could.

anyway.

well he's an incredible swimmer. in fact, he's going to state.

i went to our region's swim meet on the 20th and 21st.

he placed first with a time of 22.74 sec on the 50 free (pic 1)

placing second in the 100 free (but i forgot the time...he was like...miliseconds after the first guy though. video (: mute it. my voice is uhm...loud. he's in lane 4 (the one that's ahead the whole time till the last...moment.)

and then the relay. 49.97 100 free relay split.
yes i know. he's incredible.

what i love most about swim as a sport - especially at SHHS - is that the focus is beating your own record, not that of those you are competing against. i like it that way. a lot.

oh and please...no one comment on the lack of shirts. yes, i'm well aware of this fact. it is a swim meet after all

it was an exciting new experience. i love learning new things about different sports and going places i honestly never would have expected to go. after all i don't even know how to swim myself. but that's okay. someone incredible is going to teach me how...when we have time.

honestly. i've never been happier. in my entire life. or more content.

life is just good.

thanks for reading my brag on my best friend. he deserves a major fist pump.

and if you want, come watch the state competition feb 3rd and 4th at BYU

i for one am definitely going to be there. at least for three certain events.

see you there!

14 things to do to make your day go better.

1. randomly smile as big as you possibly can at some random stranger

2. make awkward sounds at a quiet moment and watch the awkward glances you get

3. go to a craft store with a friend and smell every single candle, maybe even going as far as having the candles compete, see which one wins Candle Idol.

4. make cookies...with all the replacement ingredients {i.e. honey instead of sugar}

5. google image "chubby asian babies."

6. go to this website, then personalize it {you'll understand once you do it} and send it to all your friends.

7. go for a run, take a friend.

8. start a back-rubbing/scratching train. don't be cheap.

9. sing a hymn a capella with people who know the other parts {find a place with cool acoustics, that always adds a little more spice}

10. make a laughing circle. {if you don't know what that is...it's where four or more [if you can make them fit] people lie their heads on each others stomachs and one person starts with one fake laugh "ha." then the next person goes "ha. ha." adding a laugh each person who goes} soon everyone will be laughing without help...and without stop.

11. email and old friend who may be in need of encouragement

12. go for a hike and watch the sunset {bring a friend or if you are alone, count your blessings}

13. drink hot chocolate, if you can add french vanilla flavoring

14. sidewalk chalk a masterpiece of beautiful drawings and loving notes on a random friend's driveway.

i hope you are smiling. share the love. an interesting thing my bishop told me today was that when Christ asked his apostles if they loved HIM then "feed my sheep". He didn't say if they loved the sheep then they should feed them. If ye love me, feed my sheep.

i hope your day has been made brighter.

believe in the lovely.

Crazy Love/yah...i'm an accidental stalker. what?

today i revisited my creeper days. completely on accident of course, i simply went for a run and happened to see where someone i know lives.

harmless.

but i still feel like a creeper/stalker.

anyhow, after i realized what a creep i was now for knowing where they live, i thought of that one song yah...you know what i'm talking about. wait, you don't? oh, well here you go then (:

so yah...i may have chosen my running path very carefully - so as to get the best view of the neighborhood, but this instance truly was unplanned. just for your reference. i swear that on the bible and book of mormon (:

love,

kaylla.

PS - I almost got a nail stuck in my foot. it was epic. oh and my feet hurt...like a lot...i think i might run funny...but estimated, I ran for about an hour, was gone from 4:10-5:25...do your own math, and rested at both churches. my estimation is I ran about a four and a half miles, mostly uphill. yah, i know - i'm slow. shutup (:
