dark side of the moon.

“We’re all moons. Sometimes our dark sides overshadow our light.”
–Richard Paul Evans

i read this in the book that i am reading right now. it surprised me. i wasn't sure how to take it at first. it made me think about what my dark side might be and what it might be in those around me whom i love. it's a thought that brought a slight shudder. if you can imagine how the tallest people fall the farthest...are our dark sides so incredibly horrible that even we don't quite see it?

and what about those people we perceive to be angels? the light is still there. darkness isn't stronger than light, it's only the absence of it. it cannot overcome anything. but if we don't shed light upon it, if we don't recognize it. could we become overshadowed permanently?
