The Shining Knight?

the question mark isn't an accident. just in case you are wondering. and i'm not asking a question about a person either. well...unless there really is a shining knight out there, then i think it'd be a good thing to ask him. he might know the answer to my question; which is this:

is there really such a thing as a knight in shining armor or is the real shining knight the one who has battered armor from fighting through the hard battles?

it's kind of obvious the one i'm going to lean toward...isn't it? or is it?

so let's think about this. the shining knight; he's the perfect person. the man who does everything exactly right, the man who you'll never argue with, the one who will always give you your way. the one who has a job that will provide for you for all your days and where you'll never have a care in the world except the fun and happy excitements of life.

but what about the one who has worked hard, who has fought those battles who really make a man. but he has scars, he's worked hard his whole life to become as strong as he is and physically sometimes the shining knight could really overpower him. but the battered knight has a kind heart and he is understanding. he may not always be able to provide you with all of your wants...and life will definitely be harder with him, strenuous; but you'll be happy. true love, eternal celestial love.

i guess it really just depends on the person, which knight you want, and which one you get.

sometimes i guess the shining knights will lie and say they're really a battered knight with a new set of metals. but they lie...or the battered knight who really did change his suit of armor but because of the cheater knight before him, no one believes him. both...are sad stories.

is the armor representative of his heart? is a bruised and battered heart, one that has given its all better? or is it more faulty, more temperamental? not as trusting? but the shining knight, who has never given as much as he can, whose love has never been stretched...can he really be compared to the man whose heart has been?

so i guess the real question is this...would you rather be in love with the perfect man, or share a perfect love with an imperfect person? or is that the question.

shakespeare always seemed to think that the real question was that of Life. but what is life without love?
